First off I would like to apologize for the lack of updates that the site has for the past few days, I have been working on something new for the website that should be done in some weeks time, maybe sooner. Anyways on to the good stuff, in a interview with Eiji Aonuma held by Wired he talked about the art style of Zelda Wii U. Everyone thought that the new tech demo that was shown at E3 would be the new Zelda but Aonuma wants to keep us guessing. Jump inside for the rest of this story and to see what Aonuma said about this.

“You probably remember that when we introduced the GameCube, we showed a somewhat realistic Zelda demo,” he said. “And what we actually created was the cel-shaded Wind Waker. So when we show a graphic demo, people think, ‘Oh, this is what the next Zelda will look like,’ but that’s not necessarily the case,” he said.

As you can see from what Aonuma stated he is comparing this situation to The Wind Waker when they released the Space World demo back in 2000 with a completely different art style than what The Wind Waker has now.
