In celebration of Zelda’s 25th Anniversary Nintendo has opened up their Official Zelda 25th Anniversary Site. Once you go on the site you are greeted by flashes of the various Zelda games and the years they were released with the Anniversary logo in the center. Also on the website you can get a short history of each Zelda game, details on the Zelda Symphony Tour, downloadable software from Ocarina of Time 3D and Link’s Awakening, a Zelda Flipnote contest which we will have more information on for you guys after the post jump and more. Now on to the Zelda Flipnote contest. If you own a DSi or DSi XL with internet access and the Flipnote Studio software you are able to enter. Nintendo is asking for all you artist out their to get creative and draw up your own Zelda Flipnote. It can be on anything such as an animate Ganon in battle, Princess Zelda being rescued or perhaps animate Link solving a puzzle in a dungeon or battling an enemy. This contest will be judged by Zelda’s finest creators Takashi Tezuka, Eiji Aonuma, Yoshiaki Koizumi and the very creator of the Zelda series himself Shigeru Miyamoto. The winner will get their creation featured on Nintendo’s homepage, Flipnote Hatena on Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL and on the Nintendo Channel so it can be viewed by all Zelda fans.

Also the competition starts 3:01 a.m. PST Monday, August 8, which is today, and continues until Friday, September 9 @ 11:59 PM (all times are in Pacific) so get to drawing. For more information on this and even to learn how to draw Link on Flipnote check out the website.
