If you have been a regular visitor here then do you remember the rumor that has been floating around about Skyward Sword being delayed till Project Cafe (Wii 2)? Well we believe its back and its through some predictions that IGN has for E3. In these predictions they mention the possibility of Skyward Sword being released around the time Project Cafe is released. Could this really be possible? Read the rest of this post to find out.

Below is what IGN posted on what could be a possible delay of Skyward Sword till Project Cafe;

Nintendo’s got a tough decision to make with Skyward Sword. On one hand the company has set this precedent before, when Twilight Princess was shifted from the GameCube to be a Wii launch title. On the other hand, we won’t see the new Nintendo system till 2012, which means the Wii is looking at a pretty barren release schedule this fall if Skyward Sword gets taken out of the mix. This one could definitely go either way.

IGN believes that Skyward Sword will follow the same path as Twilight Princess did when it was set to be released for the GameCube but was shifted to the Wii. Zelda Dungeon had their own opinion on this and I can agree with them. It seems that IGN is fueling these rumors but its an absolute rumor. Many sources have confirmed including Nintendo that Skyward Sword will be set for the Wii, even in an Official Nintendo Magazine had a possible October release for Skyward Sword. If this will possibly happen then it will be announced at E3 but so far this is nothing but a rumor and will most likely stay as a rumor since it has been confirmed by Nintendo that it will NOT be released in 2012 when Project Cafe is released.
