Storyline

The game opens up the same way as Oracle of Ages. The triforce calls out to Link and is transported to the land of Holodrum, where its being attacked by General Onox. Link awakens in an area known as North Horon. He starts to hear music from a distance and goes to see where the music is coming from. He comes across traveling troupe of performers who were enjoying a dance performance that was by Din. Din asks Link to dance with her and he agreed. During the dancing the sky becomes dark and General Onox makes his appearance, kidnaps Din and takes her to his mountain fortress. It is also revealed that Din is indeed the Oracle of Seasons, a person who has the power to change the seasons of Holodrum. Onox traps Din in a crystal cage as a result the Temple of Seasons falls into the earth, throwing the seasons of Holodrum off balance.

Link awakens after that ordeal in the care of Impa. She tells him about the situation and then he embarks on a quest to save Din and restore order. Link learns from the Maku Tree that he needs to gather the eight Essences of Nature in order to penetrate Onox’s fortress.

While on his adventure he uncovers a portal. Stepping on it transported him a underground land called Subrosia. He also finds the missing Temple of Seasons when he has been teleported to that land. With the Rod of Seasons Link learns that the seasons from the temple become useful in his quest for the eight Essences of Nature

When he has completed all the dungeons and defeating Onox Din is released and the seasons start to fall back into their natural balance but there is still a next evil to come…
