Just recently Nintendo was hacked by a group of persons called Lulz Security. They hacked Nintendo’s server configuration and place the coding online for everyone to see as proof. Now Nintendo’s Ken Toyoda is confirming the hacking and also stating that the hacking was done weeks ago and that no user information was taken. The hacking group took full responsibility for the hacking and said that it was done so that Nintendo can plug up a hole in their security system. Jump inside of the story to see what the parties said.
Ken Toyoda from Nintendo posted the following:
“There were no third-party victims, but it is a fact there was some kind of possible hacking attack.” “We are always working to make sure our systems are secure.”
This was what Lulz Security took to their twitter account:
We’re not targeting Nintendo. We like the N64 too much – we sincerely hope Nintendo plugs the gap. This is just for lulz. <3
And later on this was what the hacking group posted
We just got a config file and made it clear that we didn’t mean any harm. Nintendo had already fixed it anyway
This is just one of the out of the many hackings that these guys have done, including the hacking of Sony’s network. Check back with us for any updates on this.
