The Legend of Zelda on iOS and Android Devices?

zelda iphone The Legend of Zelda on iOS and Android Devices?
With Nintendo experiencing major losses investors are now on Nintendo’s back to bring their games to the mobile gaming market. Various sites such as Nexux404 are suggesting that Nintendo should consider this while other sites such as Wired think otherwise. While both of these sites agree that Nintendo won’t make the move Nexux404 listed 7 games that they believe will be great for the iOS devices, games such as Donkey Kong, Final Fantasy, Super Mario Brothers and The Legend of Zelda.

While I can agree with Wired, Zelda Dungeon also made a post on this topic which I can totally agree with. Why should Nintendo place their games, especially the old ones, on mobile phones, to make a quick dollar? Games such as The Legend of Zelda and Adventure of Link are games that most players will not get their hands off of until they have reached a certain level or have beaten the game, as a result this can keep them very hooked onto the phone. I am sure that if a Nintendo fan, heard that there is a Nintendo related or for Zelda fans Legend of Zelda game on either an iOS or Android device they may just pick up the mobile faster than a 3DS, as a result Nintendo can loose even more profits due to less 3DS sales, while the mobile industry grows in profits. Think about it, would you spend $170 on a 3DS and spend more money to get these NES games in the eShop when you get the same NES games on a mobile device which cost the same amount of money as or even less than the 3DS alone?

While Nintendo is “loosing” the console wars, according to Wired, this may not be the best move for them, what will be best is that Nintendo catches up to the gaming market and start to create gaming consoles that can match up to the PS3 and Xbox 360. We hope that the Wii U can match up to Sony and Microsoft and give Nintendo the edge that they really need.
