    Storyline

    Link is awakened by a telepathic message from Princess Zelda, which tells him that she is held as a prisoner in the dungeon of the castle. With Link now awake he see his uncle equip with a sword and shield. Link’s uncle tells him not to leave the house as he sets off. Link does not listen and goes off after him only to find him critically injured at the castle. He gives Link his sword and shield and instructs Link to save Princess Zelda. Link manages to save Zelda and the both head to the sanctuary.

    The priest tells Link the way to defeat Agahnim is with the use of the Master Sword. He instructs Link to find the elder Sahasrahla who tells Link that not anyone can wield the Master Sword and to prove himself worthy he must obtain the three Pendants of Virtue.

    After obtaining the three pendants Link withdraws the blade from his pedestal in the Lost Woods. Zelda sends another telepathic message saying that soldiers have infiltrated the sanctuary. When Link makes it to the sanctuary the soldiers have already taken Zelda off to Hyrule Castle Link then goes off to Hyrule Castle where Agahnim has already completed his ritual and sends Zelda to the Dark World thus breaking the sage’s seal. Link is then transported to the Dark World by Agahnim.

    In the Dark World Sahasrahla contacts Link telepathically and tells him that where he is standing was once known as the Sacred Realm but was transformed by Ganon’s desired wish to take control of the world. He instructs Link to free the seven descendants of the Seven Sages from dungeons scattered across the Dark World. Once all seven were freed they were able dispel barrier sealing off the entrance into Ganon’s Tower. When Link defeats Agahnim a second time Ganon’s shadow emerges from Agahnim as a bat and flies off to the Pyramid of Power.

    At the Pyramid of Power Link faces Ganon in a final showdown and with the help of the Master Sword and Silver Arrows Link was able to defeat Ganon and recovers the Triforce. He makes a wish on the Triforce to revert the Sacred Realm and Hyrule to its former self.
